Santa Barbara Urban Creeks Council

Dedicated to the preservation, protection, and restoration of natural and urban streams.

Our Mission

The Santa Barbara Urban Creeks Council was formed to encourage the preservation, protection, and restoration of natural and urban streams. Our goal is to educate decision makers and the general public on the aesthetic, recreational and ecological values of natural streams located near our homes, places of employment, farms, or in commercial and industrial urban areas. In order to promote these values, the Urban Creeks Council holds regular meetings, develops educational materials, and hosts workshops and field outings to increase the awareness of the value of our natural streams, for the public as well as for engineering and planning professionals.

How can you help?

The best way you can help with the protection and restoration of the natural urban stream is to donate to our non-profit organization. Any donation goes a long way.

We are here to help

Urban Creeks Council is a non-profit, tax-deductible grassroots organization. We are not a government agency and are not subsidized by any government agency. All of the work that we do is done by volunteers. All of our operating funds come from individual donations. For over 25 years we've been protecting and enhancing the watersheds of Santa Barbara County.
